Guidance/School Counselor

The school counselor offers many services to students, parents, and teachers. The school counselor is available to parents by making an appointment or a phone call. Individual counseling is offered to students who may be dealing with a problem such as a death in the family, family changes, behavior adjustments, etc. and who are in need of another person in their support network. Small-group counseling is also offered so that students can meet together to learn from one another. Classroom lessons which cover a variety of topics are provided each month. Students who go above and beyond to display the character and leadership traits taught
through our guidance curriculum are recognized as Student of the Month. School-wide service projects are also organized by our school counselor, and the counselor serves as a liaison to community support agencies. If your family is experiencing hardships, please reach out to
our counselor to learn more about the supports that are available. As our society changes, so will the services that are provided through the Guidance Department.
